Sunday, SEPTEMBER 3 – International Travel

International travel from the Denver, Colorado. Today we depart on our overnight flight to Tel Aviv, embarking on our Trip of a Lifetime!

Day2

Monday, SEPTEMBER 4 – Welcome to Tel Aviv

We will be met at Ben Gurion International Airport and assisted through customs, introduced to our guide and driver, and travel to our hotel in Tiberias for a well-deserved rest. Dinner & overnight in Tiberias.

Jesus Boat

Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 5 – Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Tabgha & More

Today we reflect on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount while sitting in a serene setting on the Mount of Beatitudes, overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Later, we’ll climb aboard a wooden boat for a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. At the Jordan River, we’ll see the probable location where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. We’ll walk a trail down past the site of Tabgha to the Primacy of Peter, where two miraculous catches of fish changed Peter’s life forever. Later, we’ll walk in Jesus’ adopted hometown of Capernaum, and see the remains of Peter’s house and the synagogue where Jesus preached. Dinner & overnight in Tiberias.

Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 6 – Banias, Golan Heights

Today we will visit the Misgav Am observatory, a lookout point that is about as close as you can get to Lebanon and still be in Israel. We then travel to the Golan Heights to see the tallest waterfall in Israel and the stunning scenery around the Hermon-Banias Nature Reserve- Banias. Dinner & overnight in Tiberias.

Thursday, SEPTEMBER 7 – Nazareth Village

Today we will experience life as it was in Jesus’ day at the reenacted first-century Nazareth Village. Standing atop Nazareth Ridge, we’ll drink in a breathtaking panorama over the Jezreel Valley at Nazareth’s Mount Precipice. We will ascend Mount Carmel, overseeing the breathtaking Mediterranean Sea and continue on to Meggido (Armageddon) to explore the archeological and prophetic location in the heart of the valley of Jezre’el. We end this day in Jerusalem, where we will dine and rest.

Mount of Olives

Friday, SEPTEMBER 8 – Mt of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane & More

We will start our day ascending the Mount of Olives for a beautiful panoramic view of Jerusalem. Continuing on to the Garden of Gethsemane, we will take time for prayer and meditation among the ancient olive groves of the Kidron valley. We will walk through the Old City on the Via Dolorosa (the road of suffering leading to the place of crucifixion), share Communion & worship in the Garden Tomb, and continue on to visit Bethlehem (pending confirmation) to see the famous “Shepherd Fields”. Optional free afternoon in Jerusalem. Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Saturday, SEPTEMBER 9 – Tiberias to Jerusalem

Today we tour the Golden city of Jerusalem. We will explore the Old City visiting Mount Zion and the tomb of King David. We’ll pray on the Western Wall, walk through the Western Wall tunnel, visit St Anne’s Church and the City of David, and finally Hezekiah’s tunnel. Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Sunday, SEPTEMBER 10 – Jerusalem

Traveling to Shiloh’s remarkable location in the heart of Samaria where the Ark of the Covenant was housed for hundreds of years, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the biblical heartland of Samaria and the hills of Judea. Continuing to the site of Emmaus Road, we’ll visit the Biblical Gardens at Yad-8, Israel’s only Messianic village, and conclude our day with prayer at Har Radar observatory over the mountains of Judea. Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Monday, SEPTEMBER 11 – Yad Vashem

Today we visit a must-stop location while on a tour of Israel–Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust. Next visit the Israel Museum, and the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed, and the new holy land model – a miniature replica of Jerusalem as it was during the second Temple period. Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 12 – Dead Sea: Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran

Today we drive through the Judean Desert to the lowest place on earth the Dead Sea, then on to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Later we travel to the fortress of Masada. Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 13 – Elah Valley

Today we travel to Elah Valley the location of the battle of David and Goliath. We also visit Black Arrow Memorial, which honors eight IDF soldiers who lost their lives during a retaliatory incursion into the Gaza Strip in the mid-1950s. We lunch in Abraham’s tent located in the heart of the Old City with roof top views Jerusalem. Here we enjoy a spiritually uplifting experience including meditation, collective meal, and a musical conclusion. Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Flight

Thursday, SEPTEMBER 14 – Departure back to USA

On our last day, we have free time to bargain with shopkeepers in the Old City, return to a site that held special meaning, or just people-watch while sipping coffee at a sidewalk café. Later we will drive to Tel Aviv where we will board our flight back home.
